Event Details:
New Zealanders throw away over 157,300 tonnes of food a year and this is a growing problem impacting our people, our environment and our food resources.
We're raising awareness of the shocking amount of Food Wastage in NZ and speaking with some of the change makers making inroads in the space; from how we can educate and take preventative measures to what we can do to better utilise surplus foods before they go to waste.
How do we not only hold ourselves more accountable for our personal food wastage, but help and demand more of our retailers, businesses, and government. It starts with our own actions, educating ourselves and others, and helping drive the movement for change. With a number of organisations making huge efforts in the space, we hope to combine our collective effort to reduce food wastage in NZ.
